Père Lachaise Cemetery

It seems to odd to write this but the Père Lachaise is one of the most romantic places in Paris, and i hope this photo will convince you!

The 50-hectare cemetery was open in 1802 on a land confiscated from the Jesuits during the French Revolution.

Cobbled stones alleys twist through funeral monuments and ancient trees, and you need at least a whole day to visit the cemetery as the discovery is never ending...



Many famous people are buried there such as Jim Morrison, Frederic Chopin, Gericault, Rossini...the list is endless...
