Spring white flowers make us think of apple or cherry trees...
Have you even seen Wild Garlic flowers?

This perennial plant, which is a forerunner of our domestic garlic plant, is found throughout Europe and of course in France where it carpets damp woodlands for a month each year.

Garlic has been known since ever for its medicinal antibiotic and antifungal virtues. Wild garlic starts to grow in late January and blossoms during Spring.

Its leaves look like those of the lily of the valley but it is as far as the comparaison goes as wild garlic gives off a very subdued scent of garlic which is not unpleasant though...

And if you look close you will discover its delicate flowers.

Wild garlic is edible, in fact the whole plant is from the bulb to the leaves and even flowers!
Definitively a plant to discover...
